We are really delighted with our beautiful new double-glazed sash windows. We decided to have the work done after the bitterly cold winter last year. What we hadn’t really anticipated was how much the new windows would improve the appearance of the flat. All the rooms look brighter and cleaner, especially where we’ve decided not to retain the window-pane dividers.
As for heat conservation, we noticed the difference immediately. We didn’t upgrade windows in one room and I keep thinking that I’ve forgotten to close them properly because they are so draughty in comparison. I also think the planitherm glass makes a big difference. It’s already mid-October and we’re still doing without the central heating.
Alan was great to deal with. As he will tell you, he’s a craftsman not a sales rep. He knows his business inside out and really cares about the quality of the work. The job was done on time and with real attention to detail, maintaining the look at the front of the house, for example. And any minor glitches were speedily sorted out.
